Generally, our breedings take place in a neutral pen, where the buck and the doe are both not used to. However, when we have a stubborn doe, we'll attempt any possible way to get her bred! In the past, we've tried about every possible way to breed; we've taken does to bucks, bucks to does (we trusted the said sets of does), overnighted bucks and does together, and we've even just outright left bucks in with does for several weeks (again, we trusted the said does.) Nova the Californian doe had Atlas living with her for going on 3 weeks until she literally chewed a hole in the back of her hutch and made him leave! Our does are pretty good to the bucks and vice-versa. I try to witness two fall offs before taking the doe back out of the breeding pen, This can take from 5 to 15 minutes and generally, they're done with each other by then anyways. I then record the dates on Microsoft Outlook and cross my fingers for next month!
